Symptoms of poor Client Service

  1. When a client calls, our staff must learn to keep all the different softwares open - to clear their queries quickly.
  2. Our vendor does not provide Web and SMS facility
  3. We tried to provide information by SMS but we were not able to do it consistently.
  4. Our backoffice on the web is too slow and cumbersome. Clients log in once only, after that they never log in. It is easier to get the information by phone or by a reply email.
  5. I wish clients could get cheques and contract notes from their local branches. In the evenings two people are busy with this (when trading is over and branch staff is quite free but makes more money).
  6. Our backoffice software can send only 2 or 3 types of SMSs.
  7. One client is always asking for monthly statement with all contract details for the month. I wish the contract details are available inside the ledger itself, it makes so much sense for the client.
  8. I must get more staff, volumes have increased and clients will be calling for withdrawals, transfers, etc. on the phone.
  9. We provide a value addition to our clients. We have an Excel expert he makes all reports so our clients can easily understand them. Because it is done manually sometimes mistakes do happen.
  10. When a client asks for a margin release, if he is an old client we need to go back 3 to 4 years to see when he purchased and whether he sold the shares or not and also whether he is entitled to any corporate actions or not before we release it. System will tell us but just to be sure.
  11. Regular complaints from clients - they are not receiving dividends.
  12. Regular complaints from clients - shares are not reflecting in their account.
  13. Clients positions getting out of hand especially when markets are volatile.
